Nature of threat intelligence
Adversary Wire publishes threat intelligence briefings, threat actor profiles, sector risk assessments, and security commentary drawn from public sources including government advisories, vendor disclosures, academic research, and open-source intelligence. All content reflects the information available at time of publication.
Threat intelligence is not fact in the way that a technical specification is fact. Attribution is probabilistic. Timelines are reconstructed from incomplete evidence. Threat actor behaviour evolves. What is accurate at time of publication may be superseded by new information within days.
No guarantee of accuracy
While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy and represent sources faithfully, we cannot guarantee that all information is correct, complete, or current. Errors, omissions, and misattributions occur in the threat intelligence community, and we may reproduce them. Readers are encouraged to verify information against primary sources before relying upon it for operational decisions.
Not security advice
Nothing published on Adversary Wire constitutes professional security consulting or advice. Security decisions — including incident response, investment priorities, control selection, and risk acceptance — must be made by qualified professionals with knowledge of your specific environment, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations.
Attribution uncertainty
When we attribute activity to named threat actors, nation-states, or criminal groups, such attribution is based on available evidence and follows standard intelligence confidence conventions. We note confidence levels where possible. Attribution in the security industry carries known limitations — shared infrastructure, false flags, and incomplete visibility are endemic. No attribution stated on this Site should be treated as definitive or legally actionable without independent corroboration.
Third-party sources
Analysis may reference or quote government advisories (CISA, NCSC, ANSSI), vendor security bulletins, and commercial threat intelligence. We endeavour to represent external sources accurately. Third-party organisations are not responsible for how we have interpreted or presented their information.
No endorsement
References to specific vendors, tools, or organisations do not constitute endorsement. Sector and threat actor coverage reflects reporting focus, not risk rankings or security assessments of specific organisations.
Liability limitation
Adversary Wire and its contributors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or adverse consequences arising from any reliance on, or action taken or not taken based on, content published on this Site. You use this Site and its content entirely at your own risk.
